3. Working Principle & Crystallization

Creating a hot-fill bottle alters the standard two-stage process. Preforms undergo an extended thermal soak in the infrared oven, increasing the crystallinity of the PET polymer chains. Once inside the blow mold, hot oil or specialized heating mediums circulate through the mold walls (rather than chilled water). This process “heat-sets” the plastic, erasing thermal memory. The biaxially stretched bottle is now physically immune to shrinking when 90°C liquid is poured into it.

Most crucially, our CNC aluminum blow molds are engineered with highly sophisticated fluid channels.
